Member Meeting: Painting Silk Scarves with Bonnie Boyle

Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Bonnie Boyle has been painting silk scarves for quite a while now, and developed different approaches for different looks. She kindly offered to share with us. Photos: Gloria Woodwell.

Bonnie had already drawn the leaf pattern on the scarf and applied the resist to the lines. She demonstrated how to apply the dye.

Bonnie described different techniques, showed their effects, and told members what they were about to get involved in.

Everyone wanted the finished product.

Members took turns with brushes and dye, and had a ball.
